In November 2006, with the acquisition of key staff members, Prime Rentals Lethbridge opened up in a 3,000 sq. ft. strip mall location with no yard space, to test the waters in Lethbridge. It did not take long to discover that Prime had an important role to play in Lethbridge and its community, so in the Fall of 2007 Prime broke ground to build a new building, which today is its Home Office. In Spring of 2008, the 2.5 acre, 8,000 sq. ft. facility was completed. In 2013, the Lethbridge store discovered it had outgrown its back service and repair area, so in October the foundation was poured for the new addition; 6,000 sq. ft shop equipped with a 5 tonne overhead crane. Completion and move in happened in May 2014. The journey of Prime Rentals has been one of great pride for the owners, Kim and Trina Tymko. They are proud to employ 18 people, proud to be a big supporter of the communities that support Prime, and proud to supply Southern Alberta with a high quality, multi-million dollar fleet of large and small equipment. But most of all they are proud to have set the bar high! The standard by which others are compared!
Prime Rentals Taber opened its doors as Jen-Ko Rentals in 1979 in a small 1,000 sq. ft. building with a small selection of equipment for home owners and small construction with 2 employees, including the owner. In September, 1991, Kim Tymko changed the name to Prime Rentals Ltd. In January 2000, Prime moved into a 5,000 sq. ft space right across the street, and was steadily adding numbers to their staff and to its inventory and variety of equipment.
In June 2012, Prime celebrated its grand opening of its newest facility, right next door to where it had been for 12 years. This 8,000 sq. ft. facility, and 2 acres of land was a welcome change for the Taber store.
